As a child, she always admired and collected various crystals and rocks. There was something about the colors, shapes, and textures that called out to her. She has always had a way of blending those elements whether it is within the selection of an outfit that her mother insisted did not match or in her beautifully selected arrangement of stones, shells and beads. Creativity flows through LaShont'e when she is in a meditative state. Challenging works of art seemingly spring to life when she closes her eyes and envision shades, shapes and textures as they begin to emerge into complete beautiful, colorful, intricate accessories. She has created custom pieces for clients based upon their personalities and professions. She can see a stone or bead that fascinates her and construct a beautiful piece around it Hearing the various hues as they speak to her and feeling the shades beating a strong pulse deep within her soul creates a passion and love that propels her inspiration and creativity as her grandmother did before her. LaShont'e began making jewelry in 2007 with her grandmother Julia. Working side by side with her grandmother, she nurtured and cultivated her natural talents. People began to take notice of the duo's creative works and the business began to blossom. And suddenly came Julia's untimely passing. After a short break LaShont'e decided to continue with her passion and honor the time she spent with her grandmother by continuing to create beautiful pieces and channel the euphoria she felt creating and working by her side.
